Natural Systems Engineering is the prime consultant (with team members Onondaga Environmental Institute and River Research & Restoration, LLC) on a feasibility study (FS) for the removal of the historic Penfield Pond Dam in Ironville, New York. The FS is being driven by the hazard posed by the almost 150 year old dam and assesses removal alternatives intended to protect downstream ecology, infrastructure and historic resources, and the management of impounded sediment in the headwater pond.
